Job Purpose
Responsible for evaluating and enhancing employee performance within RwandAir. This includes developing performance metrics, implementing performance management programs, collaborating with managers to drive continuous improvement, and aligning with business goals. The role also involves advising management on procedures to improve individual performance in line with the airline’s objectives.
You will support all areas of Talent and Performance Management, working with teams across the business to ensure the right people with the right skills deliver strategic goals.
1. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement performance management programs aligned with RwandAir’s strategic goals.
- Research best practices and develop a tailored performance management system.
- Create performance metrics and evaluation criteria with HR Management.
- Use the ERP system to plan and implement automated performance management processes.
- Develop communication programs to connect talent development to performance outcomes.
- Implement a competency-based framework; train department heads to assess and develop staff.
- Continuously improve the performance appraisal system to align with business strategy.
- Provide insights from talent data and influence decisions at all business levels.
- Identify and support underperforming employees with development plans.
- Monitor effectiveness of strategies and adjust as needed.
- Oversee the integration of KPIs, core competencies, and values into appraisals.
- Champion continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
2. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of HR functions and systems.
- At least 2 years in a business analysis role.
- Experience in project management.
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written).
- HR accreditation is preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in resource-constrained environments.
